Welcome!

Riverview Lodge is ideally situated for a getaway from the big city, or for travellers on their way to Livingstone looking to experience more of what Zambia has to offer. We are on a lovely campus and farm of over 1,100 hectares reaching from the Kafue River along the rocky escarpment and into the distance.

The bright green of banana plantations contrast nicely against the deep green of new avocado plantations and the sweeping views across the centre pivots full of windblown wheat or soya. Large old growth forests still cover large parts of the property providing cool shaded walks from the intense African heat.

Wouldn't you like time to breathe?

We offer the perfect environment to relax and disconnect

Zambia has some of the highest concentrations of bird species on the continent.

Over 130 different species of our feathered friends have been identified in the vicinity of Riverview including the national emblem - The Africa Fish Eagle.

This makes it a wonderful location to explore with your binoculars on foot or by boat.

Team building

Team Building

Riverview is an ideal get-away from the distractions of the office for your management strategy meetings, or team building sessions to get everyone working towards the same goal.

Let the fresh air clear your mind, and the environment give you a different perspective.

Different activities can be arranged for the team building.

Fishing & Cruises

Spend a relaxing day on the river. The river downstream widens and reaches the Kafue Dam after 22km. Upstream you can go as far as Kafue National Park - that could be a real adventure!

There are great fishing opportunities. The Kafue River is home to five species of bream that can grow to over 3.5kg.

Another option is the Lady Betty river cruise; houseboat designed to make sure that guests want for nothing.

Hiking

Riverview Lodge is part of a 1,100 hectare site with access to the banana plantations and all the surrounding countryside. You can climb the escarpment for commanding views of the river plain and the sunsets.

All you will need is comfortable shoes and your camera to capture the scenery. We'll supply an easy to follow route map and a water bottle.
